LORAIN, OH (March 19, 2010) — The Board of The Stocker Foundation met on March 13, 2010, approving $1,177,010 toward programs and services that will improve literacy outcomes for under-resourced kindergarten through fifth grade public school children in Ohio, Arizona, New Mexico, California, and Washington State. LORAIN, OH (April 1, 2009)— The Board of The Stocker Foundation met on March 28, 2009 and approved 65 transition grants totaling $2,607,454 to support programs in the areas of arts and culture; community needs; education; health; social services; and women’s issues. Thirty-six transition grants totaling $1,303,726 will directly benefit Northeast Ohio (Lorain and Cuyahoga counties). Beginning in 2010, the Foundation will narrow its competitive grantmaking focus to public education (K-5th grade).
