Grants Awarded in 2011

In 2011, The Stocker Foundation Awarded 64 Grants to Various Organizations, Totaling $1,873,545.

The Stocker Foundation implemented a new education-focused competitive grants program beginning in 2011. In sum, 64 grants totaling $1,873,545 were approved. All approved grants will help lessen the reading achievement gap for under-resources prekindergarten through fifth grade public school students. The Foundation's main areas of interest are Supplemental Reading Programs; Emerging Literacy Programs; Whole School Improvement/Teacher Professional Development around Reading Literacy; and Book Distribution Programs. A limited pool of dollars was awarded to help remove barriers toward reading success ("Other Services for Students").
